Artist Statement:
I paint the things that I experience and find visual interesting. Generally, I'm a plein air painter and work in both oil and pastels. Subject matter certainly plays an important part of why I paint but secretly its more about the light, design (values) and color. Painting is actually about the relationships of these elements in the painting more than it is about the painting of things.
